120 Under 40 recognizes and highlights the achievements of the next generation of family planning leaders. We’re now accepting nominations of family planning leaders, 40 years old and younger, who have made “positive disruptions” in the field of family planning.
All nominees who meet the selection criteria will be displayed on the project’s website, 120Under40.org, which will serve as a platform for these young leaders to share their accomplishments and inspire others.
The nomination period will run through April 2016. The 40 winners for 2016 will be chosen by the public (via online voting) and an expert review board, and will be announced on World Contraception Day 2016 in September.
The process will repeat twice more, in 2017 and 2019, so that a roster of 120 outstanding young leaders will be assembled by 2020 — as you know, a highly significant year for the family planning community. In each project year, a selection of the top 40 winners will be invited to a World Contraception Day event in the U.S. 120 Under 40 is sponsored by Bayer, the lead organizer of World Contraception Day.
We hope you will participate in this exciting initiative by nominating an inspiring young leader that you know or belongs to your organization, at www.120Under40.org.
